Four Amazing Years …

I know and deeply believe that even in the midst of life’s circling and sometimes chaotic uncertainty, it’s important to remember how blessed we are. Today, is one of those days for me. Four years ago today, Allison and I shared our vows and exchanged rings in front of a few hundred of our family and friends. On this day, we got married in my … Continue reading Four Amazing Years …

Celebrating Grandma’s 90th Birthday!

My Grandma T. recently celebrated her 90th birthday. To help celebrate, all of her kids, many of her grandkids, a niece and nephew from North Dakota, and many church friends gathered in person yesterday. Her grandkids that couldn’t be there in person joined her via Skype from Delaware and Namibia. There were also tons of cards and well-wishes from all over, and through every form … Continue reading Celebrating Grandma’s 90th Birthday!

Transitions, Good-Byes, and Until We Meet Again

I haven’t written much on my blog in the past week. It’s been a bit odd, but I’ve been living in the moment, doing some wonderful work related projects, and spending time with friends. Happy Father’s Day!

To all fathers out there, Happy Father’s Day! To celebrate, let me share a video that has gone viral. As for myself, today I give thanks especially for my dad, my father-in-law, and my grandpas. My Dad has always been there, and continues to be there. He was a connective leader before Jean Lipman-Blumen had come up with the term. He was exhibiting characteristics of millennial leadership … Continue reading Happy Father’s Day!

Congratulations, Hallelujah, and Thanks be to God!

In the midst of life and its many constant changes and transitions, it is imperative that you take time to express that gratitude and thankfulness that resides deep within your heart, mind, and soul. Today’s reflection really comes out of this perspective. Allison and I have had the great joy and pleasure to walk alongside a number of friends as they have discerned calls towards … Continue reading Congratulations, Hallelujah, and Thanks be to God!

Memorial Day Reflections

Gracious and holy God, lead us from death to life, from falsehood to truth. Lead us from despair to hope, from fear to trust. Lead us from hate to love, from war to peace. Let peace fill our hearts, our world, our universe; through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen. I felt like offering a prayer was the best place, and perhaps only place … Continue reading Memorial Day Reflections
