During the season of Lent, I will be sharing a short post each day as part of the Lent-Photo-a-Day Journey, providing a sort of brief reflection and witness through the journey to and through the cross, to the tomb, and out into the world.

The word designated for March 4th was “New.”

In going through my pictures, I kept coming back to this one. In this picture, Allison and I are exchanging rings in our wedding, and in the process formally and officially starting our new life together.

Our journey has been a fun one since that day, and I am certain it will continue to be so. We certainly couldn’t have predicted where our journey together has led to this point, what challenges and questions we would face, nor where our journey may be heading exactly either. But it continues to be a wonderful adventure and life together. Every day seems to have an element of “newness” to it, simply for being a new day to try something new, and to hear or see something in a new way.
