During the season of Lent, I will be sharing a short post each day as part of the Lent-Photo-a-Day Journey, providing a sort of brief reflection and witness through the journey to and through the cross, to the tomb, and out into the world.

The word designated for February 20th is, “Sign.”

Early last summer Allison and I had the privilege and honor to travel to Texas and attend our friends Amanda and Jeremy Ullrich’s ordinations to become pastors. We flew in just in time for lunch on a Friday, and Amanda was there to pick us up at the airport. The first stop we made was at Amanda’s favorite Tex-Mex place, Enchiladas Y Mas. The food was fantastic, and of course we had to take a picture in front of the sign.

How often do we take the time to pause and document a fun moment of gathering together to remember and tell our stories? What signs or forms of remembrance do you hold dear as part of your story?
